How the Color FX Palette Works

The Color FX screen has 16 colored buttons on the matrix (rows 2–5, 4 columns). These are your global color palette for all Color FX effects (Rainbow, Light Fever, Sparkle, etc.).

These 16 slots are shared across every preset. When a preset’s Rainbow effect uses “slot 3”, it pulls whatever color is stored there. Changing a slot changes it everywhere.

Below is the recommended mapping — 16 colors covering all 100 presets across Melodic House, Dubstep/Bass, Tech House, and Techno. Set these up once, and every preset will pull the right color.

Important: To edit a slot, go to the Color FX screen and SHIFT + hit the matrix button you want to change. This opens the color picker. Set your RGBW values, then tap the flashing matrix button to save. Do all 16 before you start building presets.

Programming All 16 Slots

Setup Procedure — Load All 16 Colors

This loads your entire show palette into the Color FX matrix. Do this once and every preset will reference the correct colors.

1

Press the COLOR FX button (2nd button, left side)

The matrix rows 2–5 show 16 colored buttons. These are your palette slots.
2

SHIFT + hit the first matrix button in Row 2, Col 1

The color picker opens for Slot 1.
3

Make sure the picker is in RGBW mode (tap top-right to toggle)

4

Dial in the RGBW values for Slot 1 — Deep Blue: R:0 G:40 B:200 W:0

Use Encoder 1 (Red), Encoder 2 (Green), Encoder 3 (Blue), Encoder 4 (White).
5

TAP the flashing matrix button to save Slot 1

6

Repeat: SHIFT + hit the next matrix button (Row 2, Col 2) and set Slot 2 — Teal: R:0 G:200 B:160 W:0

7

Continue through all 16 slots using the values from the cards above

Work left-to-right, top-to-bottom: Row 2 (slots 1–4), Row 3 (slots 5–8), Row 4 (slots 9–12), Row 5 (slots 13–16).
Quick-reference order: Deep Blue → Teal → Electric Purple → Deep Red → Golden Yellow → Cyan → Neon Green → Magenta → Burning Orange → Warm Amber → Hot Pink → Deep Purple → Fire Orange → Soft Purple → Electric Blue → White

Verification

After setting all 16 slots, stay on the Color FX screen and visually scan the matrix:

1

Row 2 should show: BlueTealPurpleRed

2

Row 3 should show: YellowCyanGreenMagenta

3

Row 4 should show: OrangeAmberPinkDk Purple

4

Row 5 should show: FireSoft PrplElec BlueWhite

You’re set! These 16 colors cover every Color FX reference across all 100 presets. When building presets, just tap the correct matrix button to add that color to your Rainbow, Light Fever, or Sparkle effect.
Organization logic: Row 2 = the 4 most-used colors across all genres. Row 3 = secondary colors that appear in 9–17 presets. Row 4 = accent colors for specific genres. Row 5 = specialty colors used in fewer presets, plus White for strobes.
